  • So far passenger vehicle market has registered double digit growth of 10.6%
  • Top 30 models command 87% market share thus the list has been limited
  • In 2018, Indian PV mass market has crowned Maruti Dzire as the newest King, dethroning its own sibling Alto
  • With face lifted S Cross making strong comeback all Maruti products made it to top 30! (Except Gypsy)
  • Face lifted Ciaz and New Ertiga will certainly help Maruti to end the year with over 53% market share
  • Finally, Tata is now firing on two cylinders with Tiago and Nexon, Tigor though has not done as well as expected
  • It seems upcoming Harrier and H5X will take Tata to new heights. Good riddance legacy products!
  • Toyota and Ford certainly have foot in the door (Top 30), with Innova and Ecosport, but don’t expect them to get their body inside without positive outcomes from strategic alliance with Maruti and Mahindra respectively
  • Honda this year may post Amaz(e)ing results
  • Hyundai’s Verna is leading right now in the Sedan segment and has pipped Honda’s City with a small margin (1,630 units to be precise). Due to the facelift, Ciaz is last out of the 3 and things may change post the facelift launch.
  • Mahindra is struggling to retain its products in top 30 slot
  • With slipping Kwid, Renault may have tough time ahead
  • On a side note, sadly, the only victim of GST is Toyota Camry Hybrid
