The government has extended PM E-DRIVE incentives for electric two-wheelers till March 31, 2028. The e-2W allocation has increased to ₹2,767 crore, covering up to 45.79 lakh vehicles while retaining a maximum incentive of ₹5,000 per eligible electric two-wheeler.

The Delhi Government has approved the ambitious Delhi EV Policy 2026, introducing up to ₹1 lakh scrappage incentive, 100% road tax and registration fee exemption, and plans for 32,000 public EV charging points. The policy also outlines a phased transition to electric mobility, including electric-only new auto-rickshaw registrations from 2027 and two-wheelers from 2028, making it one of India's most comprehensive EV initiatives.
