2026 Tata Nexon CAMO Edition Launched at ₹9.99 Lakh – Gets ADAS, Dashcam and New Colours

Tata Motors has expanded the Nexon range with the launch of the 2026 Tata Nexon CAMO Edition, priced from ₹9.99 lakh and extending up to ₹13.94 lakh, ex-showroom.

Introduced ahead of the upcoming festive season, the new special edition combines exclusive exterior colours with additional technology and comfort features. It is offered with petrol, diesel and CNG powertrain options, allowing Tata Motors to target a wide range of compact-SUV buyers.

The latest CAMO Edition also arrives as the Nexon completes nearly a decade in the Indian market and crosses the milestone of 11 lakh customers.

Tata Nexon CAMO Edition Price

The Nexon CAMO range starts with the Creative CAMO petrol manual, priced at ₹9.99 lakh. At the other end of the range, the Fearless+ A PS CAMO petrol DCA is priced at ₹13.94 lakh.

All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.

The CAMO package is available across multiple configurations rather than being restricted to a single fully loaded variant. This should help Tata attract buyers across different price points.

Two New CAMO-Specific Colours

The most visible change is the introduction of two exclusive exterior colours:

  • Munnar Mist

  • Coorg Cloud

Munnar Mist is a dark green finish designed to display slightly different tones depending on the surrounding light. Coorg Cloud has a more understated metallic grey-silver appearance.

The SUV also receives CAMO badges on the front fenders, visually distinguishing it from the regular Nexon range.

Inside, Tata has added CAMO-themed perforation to the front-seat headrests. The overall cabin layout and dashboard design remain familiar, though higher variants receive a significantly upgraded equipment package.

ADAS and Integrated Dashcam Added

Unlike several special editions that are limited largely to cosmetic changes, the new Nexon CAMO also introduces additional technology.

Depending on the selected variant, the equipment list includes a 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment systemand a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster with embedded navigation.

One of the key additions is an integrated dashcam. It works alongside the SUV’s 360-degree surround-view camera and can record impact-related events. The system reportedly supports storage capacities of up to 256 GB.

The Nexon CAMO also offers an ADAS package with seven driver-assistance functions. These additions make the special edition more relevant to buyers looking for additional safety and convenience technology, rather than merely a different paint scheme.

Feature Highlights

Major equipment available on the Tata Nexon CAMO Edition includes:

  • 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen

  • 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster

  • Embedded navigation

  • Integrated dashcam

  • 360-degree surround-view camera

  • Seven-function ADAS package

  • Ventilated front seats

  • Voice-assisted panoramic sunroof

  • JBL nine-speaker audio system

  • Wireless smartphone connectivity

  • Six airbags

  • Electronic Stability Program

Feature availability will depend on the selected variant and powertrain.

Petrol, Diesel and CNG Powertrains Continue

Tata Motors has not made any mechanical changes to the Nexon CAMO Edition. It continues with the same powertrain portfolio as the regular Nexon.

1.2-Litre Turbo-Petrol

The three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces:

  • Power: 120 PS

  • Torque: 170 Nm

Transmission choices include manual, AMT and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic options, depending on the variant.

1.5-Litre Diesel

The diesel engine produces:

  • Power: 114.5 PS

  • Torque: 260 Nm

It continues to be offered with manual and AMT gearbox choices.

1.2-Litre Turbo CNG

The Nexon’s factory-fitted iCNG version produces:

  • Power: 100 PS

  • Torque: 170 Nm

The Nexon remains one of the few compact SUVs offering petrol, diesel and CNG powertrains within the same model range.

Festive-Season Refresh for Tata’s Compact SUV

The launch comes at a strategically important time for Tata Motors. Vehicle manufacturers traditionally introduce special editions, additional features and new colours before the festive period to generate fresh showroom interest.

Rather than making major mechanical changes, Tata has used the CAMO Edition to strengthen the Nexon’s visual identity while adding features that can influence purchase decisions.

The integrated dashcam and ADAS package are particularly noteworthy. Both features are increasingly gaining importance among Indian car buyers as dashboard recording, active-safety functions and surround-view cameras become more common in the mass-market SUV segment.

Nexon Faces Intense Competition

The compact-SUV segment has become significantly more competitive, with the Nexon facing rivals such as:

  • Maruti Suzuki Brezza

  • Mahindra XUV 3XO

  • Hyundai Venue

  • Kia Sonet

  • Skoda Kylaq

Each competitor has a distinct positioning. The Brezza focuses on practicality and ownership confidence, while the XUV 3XO offers strong performance and an extensive equipment list. The Venue and Sonet target technology-oriented buyers, while the Kylaq brings a European platform and driving character.

The Nexon’s key strength continues to be the breadth of its portfolio. Buyers can choose between petrol, diesel, CNG and electric powertrains, along with manual and automatic gearbox combinations.

Tata Nexon Crosses 11 Lakh Customer Milestone

The special edition also marks an important milestone for the Nexon brand, which has crossed 11 lakh customers.

Since its introduction, the Nexon has played a major role in strengthening Tata Motors’ passenger-vehicle business. It helped establish the company as a serious participant in India’s compact-SUV market and subsequently became the foundation for Tata’s electric-car expansion through the Nexon EV.

Over the years, the SUV has received multiple styling revisions, powertrain additions and special editions, including Dark, Red Dark and CAMO derivatives.

Auto Punditz Take

The 2026 Tata Nexon CAMO Edition is more than a routine colour-and-badge exercise. While the basic design and mechanical package remain unchanged, the addition of ADAS, an integrated dashcam, larger displays and premium cabin equipment gives the special edition a clearer reason to exist.

Offering it across petrol, diesel and CNG configurations is also a sensible decision, as it prevents the CAMO treatment from being limited only to buyers considering the most expensive variant.

With prices starting at ₹9.99 lakh, Tata Motors is attempting to add a more distinctive and feature-rich option to the Nexon portfolio ahead of the festive season.

However, the segment is highly competitive, and buyers are likely to compare the Nexon CAMO closely with feature-loaded versions of the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue. The new colours and technology additions should help the Nexon regain attention, but dealership experience, product quality and after-sales support will remain equally important factors in the final purchase decision.
