• Maruti Fronx made inroads in the top 10 ranking as Maruti increased dispatches as well as discounts, and this led to cannibalization of the Maruti Baleno (hatchback), from which the Fronx is derived.

• Tata Punch, due to its SUV silhouette and multiple drivetrain options, became the best-selling car in 2024. However, a steep fall in Punch EV sales and an impending facelift for the ICE version resulted in a massive drop in volume and rank.

• Mahindra Scorpio is the most expensive product in the top 10 ranking, which also marks the journey of the Indian consumer from affordable to aspirational products.

• SUV and crossover body-style products are now in the majority in the top 10 ranking, and hatchbacks are reduced to a mere 2 positions.
