Third-quarter growth strengthens Kia’s annual performance
Kia closed the July–September quarter with 89,259 units, adding 24,816 vehicles over the same quarter in 2025. Cumulative January–September sales reached 2,53,008 units, an increase of 46,426 vehicles.
Calculations based on these figures show that the third quarter contributed approximately 53.5% of Kia’s total incremental volume during the first nine months. This makes the latest quarter particularly significant: more than half of the company’s year-on-year volume addition came in just three months.
Seltos and Sonet remain key contributors
The Seltos and Sonet remained central to Kia’s sales performance. According to the company, the Seltos has averaged more than 10,000 units per month since the new model’s January launch. The Carens and Carens Clavis range provides additional coverage in the family-vehicle segment.
Kia also highlighted the response to the Sorento and Syros EV. Alongside CNG versions of the Carens and Carens Clavis, these additions broaden its presence across petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid and electric powertrains.

Auto Punditz Analysis
The strongest signal is the acceleration across reporting periods. September’s 41% growth exceeded the third quarter’s 38.5% increase, which itself comfortably outpaced the nine-month growth rate of 22.5%. However, wholesale figures measure shipments to dealerships. Customer registrations and inventory trends will help establish how closely retail demand matches this higher dispatch pace.
