Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ Teased Ahead of August 15 Debut – Triple-Screen Cabin Confirmed

Mahindra is preparing another update for its rapidly expanding born-electric SUV portfolio. The company has teased the Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ, a new version of the BE 6 that will make its full debut on August 15, 2026.
The first teaser puts the spotlight firmly on the cabin, where the BE 6 is receiving one of its biggest technology upgrades yet – a full-width triple-screen dashboard. A new exterior treatment and sportier-looking interior theme can also be seen in the teaser.
Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ – What Does The Teaser Reveal?
The SPORTEQ appears to represent a more technology- and style-focused derivative of the BE 6 rather than an all-new electric SUV.
Mahindra's teaser provides glimpses of a dark exterior finish along with a substantially revised dashboard. The standout feature is the addition of a third display for the front passenger.
The regular BE 6 currently uses two 12.3-inch screens – one serving as the digital instrument cluster and the other as the central infotainment touchscreen.
With SPORTEQ, Mahindra essentially extends the digital interface across the dashboard by introducing a dedicated passenger screen.
Triple Screens Bring BE 6 Closer To Mahindra's Larger EVs
The triple-screen arrangement has become one of Mahindra's signature premium interior features across its newer electric SUV range.
The BE 6 SPORTEQ therefore appears set to narrow the technology gap between the BE 6 and Mahindra's larger XEV electric SUVs.
More importantly, the teaser indicates that Mahindra hasn't simply installed another screen into the existing dashboard. The dashboard itself appears to have been redesigned to accommodate the wider digital interface. Autocar India also reports that the SPORTEQ gets a redesigned dashboard in addition to the triple-screen system.
For customers, the third screen could potentially offer entertainment, navigation and other vehicle-related functions independently for the front passenger, although Mahindra has yet to officially reveal its complete functionality.
New Brown Interior Theme
Another visible change is the cabin colour combination.
Instead of relying solely on the futuristic appearance of the regular BE 6, the SPORTEQ teaser points towards a brown-and-black interior theme, accompanied by contrasting lighting elements.
The treatment appears intended to give SPORTEQ a distinctive identity without changing the fundamental architecture of the BE 6 cabin.
Mahindra could also introduce SPORTEQ-specific upholstery, graphics, badges and software themes when the model is formally revealed.
Matte Exterior Treatment Adds To Sportier Appearance
The teaser also shows the BE 6 SPORTEQ wearing a dark matte-finish exterior colour.
While Rushlane describes the shade as matte black, CarDekho reports it as a new matte grey treatment, so the exact production colour name should become clearer when Mahindra reveals the vehicle on August 15.
The darker treatment complements the BE 6's already aggressive coupe-SUV styling and suggests Mahindra wants SPORTEQ to have a more performance-inspired personality.
Whether there will be unique alloy wheels, exterior graphics, aerodynamic elements or SPORTEQ badges remains to be confirmed.
Will Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ Get More Power?
That is probably the biggest unanswered question.
Despite its performance-oriented SPORTEQ branding, there is presently no official confirmation of a higher-output motor or different battery configuration.
The existing BE 6 is offered with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery options on Mahindra's INGLO electric architecture. Mahindra's official BE 6 website currently highlights the 79 kWh battery-equipped version and a 500+ km real-world range claim.
Reports surrounding SPORTEQ currently expect the existing powertrain choices to continue. Rushlane lists outputs of approximately 231 PS and 380 Nm for the 59 kWh version and 285 PS and 380 Nm for the 79 kWh version, although final SPORTEQ specifications will only be known once Mahindra releases them officially.
So, at least based on information available presently, the "SPORT" in SPORTEQ may initially refer more to the variant's styling, cabin experience and positioning than to an outright mechanical performance upgrade.
That could change at the August 15 announcement.
BE 6 SPORTEQ Could Become A New Flagship Variant
The addition of triple screens, a redesigned dashboard and unique cosmetic detailing raises another interesting possibility.
Mahindra could position SPORTEQ near the upper end of the BE 6 range rather than make the equipment standard across every variant.
The BE 6 currently starts at around ₹18.90 lakh ex-showroom, while higher variants extend substantially beyond ₹25 lakh depending upon battery, equipment and charger configuration.
Pricing and the exact variant structure for SPORTEQ haven't been announced.
An equipment-rich SPORTEQ positioned towards the top of the range would allow Mahindra to add another premium derivative while retaining more accessible versions of the regular BE 6.
Mahindra Keeps Expanding BE 6's Identity
One particularly interesting aspect of Mahindra's strategy has been its willingness to build different identities around the BE 6 rather than treating it as a single conventional model.
The electric SUV has already been used as the basis for distinctive special variants and editions. SPORTEQ now appears to take that strategy further with changes that are more substantial than just graphics or exterior colours.
A redesigned dashboard in particular means the latest derivative could effectively preview interior upgrades that may eventually find their way into the broader BE 6 portfolio.

Mahindra has confirmed that the BE 6 SPORTEQ will arrive on August 15, 2026.
At the reveal, we expect clarity on:

Passenger-screen functionality
Complete interior changes
Exterior colour and styling changes
Additional equipment
Battery and motor combinations
Whether performance figures have changed
Pricing and availability
For now, the triple-screen dashboard is the biggest confirmed upgrade.
Auto Punditz Take
The BE 6 SPORTEQ is an interesting move because Mahindra does not appear to be waiting for a conventional model-year cycle to keep its born-electric portfolio fresh.
The regular BE 6 already stands out for its aggressive exterior styling and technology-heavy cabin. Adding a third display addresses one area where Mahindra's larger electric SUVs had a visible advantage.
However, the SPORTEQ name naturally creates expectations of something beyond cosmetic changes.
If Mahindra accompanies the sportier cabin and exterior treatment with altered suspension tuning, stronger performance, software-based drive upgrades or even a higher-output powertrain, SPORTEQ could develop into a genuine performance-focused BE 6 derivative.
If the mechanical package remains unchanged, it is more likely to function as a technology-rich flagship variant.
Either way, Mahindra's August 15 reveal should be worth watching because SPORTEQ could also tell us how frequently the company intends to update and diversify its INGLO-based electric SUVs.
