  • Bolero — 9,710 units: Bolero registered the strongest percentage growth, rising 253% YoY from a low base of 2,747 units. Its 6,963-unit annual increase was also the largest absolute YoY gain among the listed models. Sales increased 14% over August.

  • 9S — 4,636 units: The 9S added a sizeable contribution, with volumes increasing 3% MoM from 4,508 units. With zero units in the supplied September 2025 comparison, its YoY growth should be shown as N/A, rather than 0%.

Auto Punditz Take

Mahindra’s overall growth was supported by particularly strong gains from Bolero and XUV 3X0, alongside the additional volume from 9S. Together, Scorpio and XUV 3X0 accounted for 43.9% of September sales.

However, growth was uneven: Scorpio, XUV 7X0 and Thar all remained below their year-earlier volumes. The monthly picture was stronger, with XUV 3X0, Scorpio and Bolero collectively adding 5,466 units over August, more than Mahindra’s net monthly increase of 4,835 units after declines elsewhere in the range.
