Mahindra has increased prices across its SUV portfolio effective 10 July 2026, citing rising commodity costs. The average hike across the SUV range is around 2.7%, although the increase varies by model and variant.

Key Highlights
Mahindra Thar (3-door) revised price
New price: ₹10.32 lakh – ₹18.00 lakh
Earlier price: ₹10.00 lakh – ₹17.63 lakh
Maximum increase: up to ₹37,000, depending on the variant.
Mahindra XUV 3XO revised price
New price: ₹7.79 lakh – ₹15.04 lakh
Earlier price: ₹7.54 lakh – ₹14.89 lakh
Maximum increase: up to ₹25,000 across the range.
Other Mahindra SUVs Also Revised
Besides the Thar and XUV 3XO, Mahindra has revised prices for:
Bolero
Bolero Neo
Thar Roxx
XUV 7XO
XEV 9S (the only Mahindra EV to receive a price revision in this round)
Interestingly, the Scorpio-N's prices remain unchanged, making it one of the few Mahindra SUVs unaffected by this revision.
Why Has Mahindra Increased Prices?
According to Mahindra, the revision has been necessitated by:
Rising commodity costs
Higher input costs across the supply chain
The company stated that it has absorbed a significant portion of the increased costs but has now passed on part of the burden to customers.
Market Context
The price hike comes shortly after Mahindra posted another strong sales month in June 2026, selling over 60,000 SUVs, with models such as the Scorpio, Thar, XUV 3XO, and XUV 7XO continuing to drive demand.
This move also follows similar price revisions by several manufacturers—including Tata Motors, Hyundai, BMW and others—indicating that higher input costs continue to impact the Indian automotive industry.
Auto Punditz Take
The latest revision reflects an industry-wide trend, with several automakers increasing vehicle prices over the past few months as manufacturing costs continue to rise.
Although the hikes on individual variants are relatively modest, prospective buyers of popular Mahindra SUVs such as the Thar and XUV 3XO will now have to budget for a slightly higher on-road price.
With demand for Mahindra's SUVs remaining robust and waiting periods continuing for several models, the price increase is unlikely to significantly impact buyer interest in the near term.
