MG Motor India reported total domestic sales of 6,018 units in April 2026, registering a modest 3% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 5,829 units sold in April 2025. However, on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, sales declined 8% from 6,528 units recorded in March 2026.
The April sales performance highlights MG’s growing focus on electric mobility, with strong momentum from the Comet EV and steady demand for the Hector, while the Windsor continued to remain the brand’s volume leader despite declining numbers.

MG Windsor remained MG Motor India’s top-selling vehicle with 3,296 units sold in April 2026. However, the model registered a 10% YoY decline and a significant 27% MoM drop, indicating slowing momentum after stronger dispatches in previous months. Despite the decline, the Windsor alone contributed over 54% of MG’s total monthly sales, underlining its importance to the company’s India portfolio.
MG Hector delivered a positive performance with 1,297 units sold in April 2026, posting a healthy 33% YoY growth.
MG ZS EV recorded sales of 717 units, declining 17% YoY. However, on a monthly basis, dispatches increased sharply by 74%, indicating improved momentum in MG’s premium EV portfolio.
MG Comet EV posted 601 units and an impressive 215% YoY growth.
