Nissan recorded 3,426 units in August 2026, registering 148% year-on-year growth over the 1,384 units recorded in August 2025. However, monthly volumes declined 24% from 4,518 units in July 2026. The Magnite remained Nissan’s highest-selling model, narrowly ahead of the Gravite. Both models posted modest month-on-month growth, while a sharp decline in Tekton volumes pulled down the overall tally.

Auto Punditz Take

Nissan’s August numbers show a broader volume contribution across its portfolio, with the Gravite nearly matching the Magnite. That gives the brand two substantial contributors to its monthly tally. However, the 24% sequential decline highlights how strongly Tekton’s monthly movement influenced the overall result. Magnite and Gravite both grew over July, but their gains were insufficient to absorb Tekton’s reduction.

The next few months will help establish whether Nissan can sustain the Magnite–Gravite contribution while achieving more consistent Tekton volumes.
