Porsche Cayenne Electric Launched in India at ₹1.77 Crore; Turbo Electric Packs 1,156 PS
Porsche India has formally introduced the all-electric Cayenne in India, with prices starting at ₹1.77 crore. The performance-focused Cayenne Turbo Electric joins it at ₹2.28 crore, bringing as much as 1,156 PS, a 113 kWh battery and ultra-fast charging capability to Porsche’s flagship SUV line-up.
Porsche has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio in India with the market introduction of the Cayenne Electric. Offered in two variants — Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric — the electric SUV sits alongside Porsche’s combustion-powered Cayenne rather than immediately replacing it.
The Cayenne Electric is priced at ₹1,77,27,000, while the more powerful Cayenne Turbo Electric costs ₹2,27,51,000. Customer deliveries have commenced from September 30, coinciding with the model’s formal launch in Mumbai.

The ₹2.28 crore Turbo Electric sits at the top of the electric Cayenne range currently offered in India. These are starting prices, and Porsche's extensive customisation and optional-equipment catalogue can push the final price considerably higher.
113 kWh Battery and Dual-Motor AWD
Both Cayenne Electric variants are based around a 113 kWh high-voltage battery and use electric motors on the front and rear axles, giving them all-wheel drive.
The standard Cayenne Electric produces up to 325 kW (442 PS) with Launch Control.
Porsche claims a 0–100 km/h time of 4.8 seconds, while top speed is rated at 230 km/h. Porsche's latest global technical data quotes a combined electric range of approximately 568–641 km, depending on configuration.
That already makes the regular Cayenne Electric a seriously quick luxury SUV, but the Turbo takes performance to a very different level.
Cayenne Turbo Electric: 1,156 PS and 0–100 km/h in 2.5 Seconds
The Cayenne Turbo Electric develops up to 850 kW or 1,156 PS with Launch Control, making it one of Porsche's most powerful road-going models.
It can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, while its top speed increases to 260 km/h. Porsche quotes a combined electric range of approximately 557–622 km, depending on specification.

Ultra-Fast Charging Is a Major Highlight
Straight-line performance isn't the only headline specification. The Cayenne Electric uses an 800V electrical architectureand supports roughly 390–400 kW-class DC fast charging under suitable conditions.
Porsche says the 113 kWh battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in around 16 minutes under optimal conditions with an appropriately powerful DC charger.
That charging capability is particularly notable because chargers capable of exploiting the vehicle's peak charging rate are still uncommon in India. Nevertheless, the hardware gives the Cayenne Electric considerable headroom as India's high-power charging infrastructure develops.
Cayenne Goes Electric Without Abandoning Petrol
The introduction of the Cayenne Electric does not mean the end of the combustion-engined Cayenne.
Porsche has confirmed that petrol-powered Cayenne variants will continue to be offered alongside the electric models into the next decade.
This gives Porsche an unusually broad strategy for the nameplate: customers can continue choosing conventional powertrains while the company develops the Cayenne Electric as a parallel product line.
Ashutosh Dixit, Head of Porsche India, described the launch as an important new phase for the Cayenne, combining Porsche's performance focus with electric mobility.
Porsche's Third Electric Model Line in India
The Cayenne Electric further broadens Porsche's battery-electric presence in India, joining the Taycan and Macan Electric.
More importantly, it brings electrification to one of Porsche's most established SUV nameplates.
Unlike an EV designed primarily around efficiency, the Cayenne Electric's specifications underline Porsche's performance-first positioning. Even the regular model offers 442 PS and sub-five-second acceleration, while the Turbo's 1,156 PS output puts it firmly into supercar-performance territory.

The ₹1.77 crore Cayenne Electric could ultimately be the more interesting of the two variants from an Indian market perspective.
Its 442 PS output and 4.8-second 0–100 km/h time already provide substantial performance, while the larger claimed driving range makes it better suited to buyers looking to use the Cayenne as an everyday luxury SUV.
The ₹2.28 crore Turbo Electric, meanwhile, is effectively the technology and performance showcase. A 2.5-second 0–100 km/h sprint from a large luxury SUV demonstrates how dramatically electrification is changing traditional performance benchmarks.
The bigger story, however, is the Cayenne nameplate itself. Porsche isn't forcing customers to make an immediate transition from combustion to electric power. Instead, petrol and electric Cayennes will coexist, allowing market demand to determine the pace of that transition.
For India, the Cayenne Electric also arrives with charging hardware significantly ahead of much of the country's present public infrastructure. Its near-400 kW charging capability may therefore be as much about future-proofing as immediate usability.
With the Taycan covering the electric performance-car space, the Macan Electric targeting the premium SUV segment and now the Cayenne Electric sitting above it, Porsche has built a much broader EV portfolio in India.
