Renault Triber Gets 100 PS Turbo Engine, 180 Nm Torque and 21 km/l Certified Mileage
Renault has introduced a turbo-petrol engine option for the Triber, bringing a substantial increase in performance to its seven-seater family car. The company’s official website confirms 100 PS of power, 180 Nm of torque and certified fuel efficiency of 21 km/l for the new TCe version.
The upgrade adds a stronger engine option to a vehicle whose appeal centres on flexible seating and compact packaging. For buyers who regularly travel with passengers and luggage, the additional torque could be the more meaningful change.

That is a considerable increase on paper. The additional torque should help when accelerating with a full cabin, climbing inclines or building speed for an overtake. However, how effectively it delivers that improvement will depend on its gearing, throttle response and torque delivery—areas that require a road test.

Manual Transmission Confirmed for the Turbo
Renault’s engine page identifies the 100 PS turbo version with a manual transmission. The existing 72 PS engine remains listed with two transmission choices, including an AMT.
Buyers should therefore distinguish between the turbo manual and the existing AMT version. The official information reviewed does not confirm an automatic transmission for the turbo engine.
Flexible Seating Remains Central to the Package
The Triber retains seating for up to seven occupants, removable third-row seats and more than 100 seating configurations. Renault lists 625 litres of boot space with the third row removed, allowing owners to switch between passenger capacity and luggage room.
