SWITCH Mobility Secures Order for 840 Electric Buses for Delhi
The order from Antony Road Transport Solutions comprises 420 nine-metre and 420 twelve-metre AC electric buses under the PM E-Drive scheme.
SWITCH Mobility has announced an order for 840 electric buses from Antony Road Transport Solutions, adding to its public transport business in India. Announced on September 28, 2026, the buses are intended for deployment with the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Delhi’s Transport Department.
The agreement falls under the CESL PM E-Drive Phase I tender, through which Antony Road Transport Solutions has been selected as an operator for Delhi. SWITCH Mobility,
part of the Hinduja Group, will supply the buses.

Partnership Builds on Existing Business Ties
SWITCH Mobility CEO Ganesh Mani said the combination of nine-metre and twelve-metre buses would help address different passenger mobility requirements. He described the order as an indication of growing confidence in electric buses for large-scale public transportation.
Antony Road Transport Solutions Director Jimmy John attributed the decision to the operator’s longstanding relationship with Ashok Leyland and its confidence in the Hinduja Group.
According to SWITCH Mobility, the company has deployed more than 3,000 electric buses globally, with cumulative operations exceeding 200 million kilometres. These figures represent its existing global footprint, separate from the newly announced Delhi order.
