Tata Motors is preparing one of its most important product years in recent times, with a focused FY2027 roadmap that combines new EV launches, facelift updates and premium electric brand activity. The company’s product pipeline is expected to help Tata strengthen its position in SUVs, EVs and alternative powertrains at a time.

NEW MODELS: The Big Debuts
These are the two cars everyone's talking about — both electric, both significant.
Sierra EV EV Q2 FY27 · July–September 2026 · Est. from ₹15 L
The Sierra nameplate is back — and it's electric. This mid-size SUV slots neatly between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV. There's a standard front-wheel drive variant, and an optional AWD setup for those who want more punch. Expect sharp SUV styling with serious real-world range numbers.
Expected specs: 55kWh & 65kWh packs · FWD + optional AWD
Safari EV EV Festive Season 2026 · Q3 FY27 · Est. from ₹25 L+
Tata's first three-row electric SUV, and easily the most anticipated launch of the year.
Expected specs: 65kWh & 75kWh packs · 450km+ range · AWD option · 3-row flagship EV
FACELIFTS: Four Fresh Faces
The Tiago and Tigor families — both EV and ICE — are getting updated. Here's the rundown.
Tiago EV — EV H2 2026 · Est. ₹8.49 L – ₹12.5 L
India's best-selling entry-level EV gets its first proper refresh.
Expected specs: The exterior gets a new front fascia with redesigned LED DRLs, a closed-off grille with aero patterning, new alloy wheels, and a connected rear light bar. Inside, the dated instrument panel makes way for a digital cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. A 30kWh Long Range battery pack could push certified range past 350km. Safety gets a serious upgrade too, with 6 airbags likely standard and Level 1 ADAS on top trims. Price hike is expected to be modest at ₹30,000–₹50,000.
Tigor EV — EV H2 2026 · Est. from ₹13 L
The Tigor EV follows the Tiago EV's lead with a redesigned front fascia
Expected specs: A 10.25-inch infotainment system, and updated internals. Real-world range is expected to cross 350km with the improved drivetrain. There are even whispers of a new name or identity for this one — though nothing is confirmed yet.
Tiago (ICE) — ICE H2 2026
The petrol Tiago also gets a visual refresh in line with Tata's newer design language. Expected specs: Expect revised front and rear styling, a digital instrument cluster, and a larger touchscreen. It keeps the Tiago affordable and relevant in a competitive hatchback market.
Avinya X EV · NEW MODEL · EV · FY28 Bharat Mobility Expo 2027 ·
Expected specs: Est. ₹40–50 L. Tata's most premium EV yet, built on the JLR-derived EMA platform. The Avinya X is expected to debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo early 2027, targeting the luxury EV space. Think of it as Tata's statement car — the one that shows how far the brand has come.
What's Coming After
Punch Flex Fuel · ICE · FY28 End FY27 / Early FY28
Tata's first flex-fuel vehicle, capable of running on everything from E20 to pure E100 ethanol. Aimed squarely at states with strong sugarcane economies and the government's ethanol push. A smart hedge alongside the EV strategy.
Six launches in a single financial year is no small feat. What's impressive isn't just the volume — it's the range. From India's most affordable EV hatchback (Tiago EV) all the way to a three-row electric flagship (Safari EV) and a JLR-platform luxury car (Avinya X), Tata is covering every corner of the market. The facelift strategy also shows maturity — refreshing proven sellers rather than abandoning them. For Indian car buyers, FY2027 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting years in recent memory.
