The Top 25 Selling Cars constituted over 75% of the cars sold in April 2023. It had 10 models from Maruti, 5 from Hyundai, 4 from Mahindra, and, 3 from Kia & Tata. In terms of volumes, Maruti Suzuki models contributed over 48 percent to the Top 25!
Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R emerged as the best-selling car of April 2023 with dispatches of 20,879 units. Mar'23 best-seller Swift slipped to second position with dispatches of 18,753 units. Maruti's Baleno ranked third on the list and also note that Fronx has jumped in the Top 25 list in the first month itself - With dispatches of 8,784 units, it ranked 15th in April 2023!
Tata Nexon was the best-selling SUV for April 2023 and regained the Numero Uno SUV spot by a large margin from Brezza. Hyundai's Creta retained the crown as the highest-selling Mid SUV and ranked fifth in the Top 25 list. Maruti Grand Vitara ranked 17th and was only 529 units ahead of Kia's Seltos. The Mid SUV segment has definitely expanded with Maruti's entry and has also garnered positive traction for the Hybrid powertrain.
