Audi has showcased the third-generation Q3 in India, giving the country its first close look at the latest iteration of the German luxury brand’s entry-level SUV. The new Q3 brings a significantly more modern design, a completely revised cabin and a richer technology package, while retaining the familiar turbo-petrol and quattro all-wheel-drive formula expected for India.

The new-generation Q3 is expected to go on sale in India during the 2026 festive season, with an October market introduction being reported. Audi is also expected to locally assemble the SUV, which should help it remain competitive in the premium compact SUV segment.

Sharper Exterior Gives the Q3 a Stronger Road Presence

The third-generation Audi Q3 adopts a more aggressive interpretation of Audi’s latest SUV design language.

At the front, the SUV features a wider grille, split LED headlamps and a more sculpted bumper. The lighting arrangement is now slimmer and more distinctive, helping visually separate the new Q3 from the outgoing model.

The profile retains the familiar upright premium-SUV proportions but adds fresh dual-tone alloy wheels, body-coloured cladding, roof rails and a more prominent shoulder line.

At the rear, Audi has introduced split LED tail-lamps connected by a light strip, along with an illuminated Audi emblem. A roof spoiler, sculpted bumper and silver lower trim further add to the SUV’s more contemporary appearance.

A new four-spoke steering wheel replaces the older design, while the conventional gear selector has been moved away from the centre console to a steering-column-mounted stalk.

This frees up additional space on the centre tunnel, which now houses the wireless charging pad, start/stop button, media controls, electronic parking brake and cupholders.

Power is expected to be sent to all four wheels through Audi’s quattro AWD system, which is likely to remain standard.

The powertrain is claimed to deliver a 0-100 km/h time of around 7.1 seconds, while top speed is rated at approximately 229 km/h.

This means Audi is resisting the segment-wide shift towards smaller engines and front-wheel-drive layouts, instead retaining a relatively performance-oriented drivetrain for the Q3.

Audi Q3 India Launch and Expected Price

While Audi has showcased the SUV in India, official prices are yet to be announced.

The new-generation Q3 is expected to go on sale during the festive season, with an October 2026 launch currently anticipated. Autocar India expects pricing to be around ₹60 lakh ex-showroom, although the final variant structure and pricing will only become clear at launch.

For reference, the outgoing Audi Q3 currently sits in the ₹43.67 lakh–₹53 lakh ex-showroom bracket.
