Audi India is exploring local electric vehicle production as it aims to increase its luxury car market share from around 8% to 15–16% within 3–5 years. New launches, EV localisation and dealership expansion are key to its strategy.

Audi has started local assembly of the third-generation Q3 in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The SUV will launch in India on October 16, 2026, with bookings already open.

The third-generation Audi Q3 has made its India debut ahead of its festive-season launch. It gets completely redesigned styling and interiors, twin digital displays and an expected 204 hp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with quattro AWD.
