IIM Banglore with its start hub NSRCEL (Nadathur S. Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning) has joined hands with Maruti Suzuki India for an incubation program that would channelize the efforts of the startups towards industry-ready solutions and leap forth to become a large-scale business house. Under this program, they have declared the list of 26 mobility startups that would engage in a nine-month extensive incubation program.
This is believed to be the first time that a renowned automobile manufacturing company has come in partnership with the startup hub to promote the startups. Mr. Kenichi Ayukawa who is the MD and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India is elated to foster the innovative business ideas of the start-ups and increase the efficacy of business functioning in India under this incubation program.
Prof Venkatesh Panchapagesan, Chairperson NSRCEL also believes that the experience of Maruti Suzuki in the automobile industry can contribute to the significant development of these ventures and grow the existing mobility ecosystem.
Out of 400 applicants, 26 start-ups are selected under this who after the three-month pre-incubation training will have six months incubation journey.
