Altigreen has introduced the MINSARA electric two-wheeler in India at a starting price of ₹1.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Available in three variants, the new multi-utility EV offers a stated range of up to 165 km, a top speed of 75 km/h and a rugged design aimed at urban and rural customers. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on December 1, 2026.

Altigreen, now part of the JAKSON Group, has expanded its electric mobility portfolio with the launch of the MINSARA, a purpose-built electric two-wheeler designed for both personal transportation and utility applications.

Unlike conventional electric scooters focused primarily on urban commuting, the MINSARA targets customers who depend on two-wheelers for their livelihoods. These include delivery professionals, farmers, small traders, rural entrepreneurs, service technicians and fleet operators.

The introduction also marks Altigreen's entry into the electric two-wheeler category after establishing its presence in the electric cargo three-wheeler segment with the neEV range.

Altigreen MINSARA – Price and Variants

The MINSARA will be available in three versions, offering different battery configurations to suit customer requirements.

Variant

125 km

MINSARA S+

3.8 kWh

MINSARA SE

The MINSARA S serves as the entry-level fixed-battery option, while the MINSARA S+ offers a larger battery and longer range.

The MINSARA SE introduces a battery-swapping configuration, potentially making it useful for commercial operators looking to reduce vehicle downtime.

Prices start at ₹1.24 lakh (ex-showroom). However, Altigreen has not disclosed individual prices for all three variants in its launch announcement.

The company has also not specified the testing cycle used for the stated range figures.

Performance – 172 Nm Torque and 75 km/h Top Speed

Altigreen has equipped the MINSARA with an electric drivetrain developed for demanding everyday applications.

The electric two-wheeler delivers a claimed peak torque of 172 Nm and offers 33% gradeability, highlighting its focus on pulling performance and operation across challenging road conditions.

Key performance specifications:

  • Peak torque: 172 Nm

  • Top speed: 75 km/h

  • Gradeability: 33%

  • Gross Vehicle Weight Rating: 264 kg

  • Wheel size: 17 inches

The 264 kg Gross Vehicle Weight Rating represents the maximum permitted total loaded weight of the vehicle, rather than its available payload capacity.

The emphasis on gradeability and rugged construction indicates Altigreen's intention to address applications beyond conventional city commuting.

Designed for Rural Roads and Commercial Operations

One of the MINSARA's major differentiators is its utility-oriented architecture.

The electric two-wheeler features 17-inch alloy wheels, telescopic suspension and a high-endurance rib-caged chassis intended to offer durability and stability across different road surfaces.

Additional equipment includes:

  • Front and rear disc brakes with Combined Braking System (CBS)

  • Crash guard protection

  • Telescopic suspension

  • Main stand

  • Side stand with safety alert

These features position the MINSARA as a practical mobility solution for users regularly travelling across urban streets, semi-urban roads and rural areas.

Battery-Swapping Variant Could Support Commercial Users

The inclusion of the MINSARA SE is particularly noteworthy.

Battery swapping could help commercial operators reduce the time spent recharging vehicles, provided the supporting infrastructure is sufficiently accessible.

This arrangement may be attractive to delivery fleets and small businesses operating vehicles over long daily distances. However, Altigreen has not yet disclosed the MINSARA SE's battery capacity, range, battery-swapping network or operating cost structure. These details will be important in evaluating the variant's suitability for large-scale commercial applications.

Bookings Open; Deliveries Begin December 1

Bookings for the Altigreen MINSARA are now open through authorised dealerships in three cities:

  • Bengaluru

  • Vijayawada

  • Noida

Deliveries are scheduled to commence from December 1, 2026.

The electric two-wheeler comes with a standard warranty of three years or 30,000 km. Altigreen also plans to introduce extended warranty options.

The company intends to support ownership through its expanding 3S dealership network, covering sales, service and spares.

Altigreen Expands Beyond Electric Three-Wheelers

The MINSARA launch represents an important step in Altigreen's product diversification strategy.

The company, which is now part of the JAKSON Group, has primarily focused on electric commercial mobility solutions, particularly the neEV cargo three-wheeler series.

Altigreen states that it has developed 32 registered patents and maintains significant in-house research and development capabilities.

With MINSARA, the company is extending its engineering expertise to the electric two-wheeler market. It also plans to expand into the passenger electric three-wheeler category.

Altigreen MINSARA debuts in India at ₹1.24 lakh with three variants, up to 165 km stated range and deliveries starting December 2026.

Auto Punditz Analysis

India's electric two-wheeler market is dominated by urban scooters, competing on range, features, performance, charging convenience, and pricing. Altigreen's MINSARA focuses on multi-purpose utility, featuring 17-inch wheels, a reinforced chassis, 33% gradeability, and a battery-swapping option, targeting customers who see their two-wheelers as earning assets. This strategy could benefit rural entrepreneurs, delivery businesses, technicians, and small traders needing versatile vehicles. However, its success depends on several factors.

The starting price of ₹1.24 lakh positions MINSARA in a market where durability, operating costs, and earning potential are crucial. The battery-swapping variant's success hinges on network accessibility and battery usage economics. Reliable after-sales support is vital for customers relying on daily vehicle operation.

MINSARA is a notable addition to India's electric mobility landscape, aiming to establish a utility-oriented electric two-wheeler category rather than compete solely with mainstream scooters. Market acceptance will be clearer after deliveries begin in December 2026. For Altigreen, MINSARA signifies more than a product launch; it marks the company's entry into the intersection of electric mobility, rural transportation, and last-mile commercial applications.
