Auto Punditz Take
August’s rankings highlight the Punch’s strong rise and Maruti Suzuki’s depth across the sales chart. The Punch’s leadership was supported by the largest absolute volume increase in the list, while Maruti Suzuki placed four models in the top five. The closely contested fifth-to-seventh positions were another highlight: just 98 units separated the Ertiga, Nexon and Dzire. Meanwhile, Wagon R and Swift occupying second and third place underline the continuing importance of hatchbacks in monthly volumes.
