SKODA is now offering wall boxes and POWER PASS for conveniently charging your Electric Cars across the developed markets and plans to introduce it here, once the EV market heats up.
The extensive service package will include comprehensive advice, on-site installation, and future servicing too. The POWER PASS will provide access to 195000 charging stations across developed countries. A provision of convenient monthly billing to has been incorporated.
The feature enables convenient and fast recharge of Electric Vehicles.
The Wall boxes are designed with single-phase or three-phase connections, with the flexibility to be adaptable to the existing electrical installation. They are robust and weatherproof and can be used outdoors and indoors as well.
The Wallboxes are a core part of the SKODA iV ecosystem that offers SKODA customers a wide range of electromobility services.
The POWER PASS: a single RFID card (RFID: Radio Frequency Identification) or the POWER PASS smartphone app will allow a convenient and no hassles charging facility at an estimated 80% of the charging points in Europe.
The wall boxes will be available in three versions and can be used by everyday drivers to fleet operators.

#)The second upgrade is the SKODA iV Charger Connect It can be controlled by the POWER PASS app. The Wallboz also comes with an RFID, that can prevent misuse especially in multi-story car parks.
#)The top model in the range is the Å KODA iV Charger Connect+ with enhanced remote control options.
Along with LAN and WLAN, this wall box also features an LTE connection that allows it to communicate with the server thru the mobile network. An electricity meter is also integrated to track consumption in the POWER PASS app.
The RFID reader is also a feature that is present.
A wall box can provide up to 7.2 kW with a single connection and up to 11 kW with a three-phase connection.
Charging times will depend on the output of the wall box and the vehicle’s capacity
Depending on the specific vehicle’s charging capacity, a wall box can provide up to 7.2 kW with a single-phase connection and up to 11 kW with a three-phase connection.
A SKODA ENYAQ iV 50’s completely empty 55 kWh battery (52 kWh net) can be fully charged in 7.5 hours.
The 11kW unit via a three-phase connection can charge a SKODA ENYAQ iV 80 with an 82 kWh battery (77 kWh net) in 7.5 hours; and a SKODA SUPERB iV, with plug-in hybrid drive supports, discharged 13 kWh Battery (10.4 kWh net) can be fully charged within 3.5 hours.
The SKODA dealers will offer not just to sell the Wallboxes but go far beyond too.
Each customer will be assigned a local installation partner to ensure that the Wall boxes are operating smoothly.
After the online pre-check is done, the installation partner will also check the cables and circuit breakers, on-site, to verify the safety parameters too. Installation and Servicing of the wall boxes will now be possible.

POWER PASS will allow the owners of the all-electric SKODA ENYAQ iV, SKODA CITIGO iV, OCTAVIA iV, SUPERB iV, each with a plug-in hybrid drive to charge their cars at over 195000 charging stations across Europe conveniently.
The facility for charging includes Europe wide IONITY network and many other operated by providers too.
The charging process is enabled by one RFID chip card or via the POWER PASS app. The users can choose from three tariff models and will be billed on a monthly basis.
POWER PASS will be introduced gradually from mid-April 2021.
