Honda Cars India Sales Analysis for March 2021

The supply constraints due to continuing global shortage of semi-conductors has impacted dispatches for Honda in Mar’21. The major impact was on Honda City and the OEM recorded an MoM decline of -24% in March 2021.
Honda Amaze was the best-selling Honda for March 2021. However; the model sales fell by -7% MoM. The model alone contributed near to 65% of Honda India's volumes in Mar'21.
WRV grew to be the second best-selling model for Honda Cars India in March 2021 and surpassed City's dispatches.
Honda City was heavily impacted by the semiconductor shortage and its volumes fell a staggering -68% in March 2021 v/s Feb 2021.
Jazz volumes still remain <1k and hasn't been able to compete with the likes of Altroz, i20 & Baleno.
