Honda Cars India is set to revise prices across its passenger vehicle lineup from August 1, 2026, becoming the latest automaker to announce a price increase amid rising input and operational costs.
The upcoming revision will apply to Honda’s current range, which includes the City, Elevate, and second-generation Amaze, with the final model-wise and variant-wise price list expected to be announced closer to the implementation date. Until then, existing ex-showroom prices will remain valid.
Amaze May See The Biggest Price Correction
Although Honda has not officially confirmed the revised prices, it is expected that the new-generation Amaze is likely to receive a larger increase than other models. The revision is expected to vary across variants rather than being a flat increase across the range, a strategy commonly adopted by manufacturers to balance demand across trims.
Another Price Revision In 2026
The August revision follows Honda’s earlier pricing adjustments this year, highlighting the sustained pressure on automakers from increasing commodity prices, logistics expenses and evolving regulatory requirements. The latest hike also aligns Honda with several manufacturers that have announced price revisions during 2026.
While price increases have become common across the industry, most OEMs continue to adopt selective model- and variant-specific revisions rather than blanket hikes, allowing them to remain competitive in high-volume segments.
Current Honda Line-up
Honda Cars India currently sells four core passenger vehicles.
Honda City – Premium midsize sedan
Honda Elevate – Mid-size SUV
Honda Amaze (2nd Generation) – Value-oriented compact sedan
The company is also preparing to expand its portfolio further with the upcoming Honda ZR-V, for which bookings have already commenced in India.
What Buyers Should Know
Customers planning to purchase a Honda vehicle may benefit from completing their bookings before August 1, 2026. Honda is expected to release the complete revised price list, including variant-wise changes, in the coming weeks.

Auto Punditz Take
Honda’s latest price revision reflects an industry-wide trend rather than a standalone move. With raw material costs and manufacturing expenses continuing to fluctuate, selective price corrections have become increasingly common.
