Honda Two-Wheeler Sales August 2026: Activa Leads as Volumes Rise 8% to 5.17 Lakh
Honda’s August 2026 two-wheeler dispatches stood at 5,17,329 units, according to the supplied model-wise data. This represents 7.55% year-on-year growth over 4,81,021 units in August 2025 and 8.58% month-on-month growth over 4,76,436 units in July 2026.
The company added 36,308 units over the year-earlier month and 40,893 units over July. Activa remained the largest contributor, while Shine 125 retained second place despite a sequential decline.

Activa recorded 2,55,815 units, a 4.7% increase from 2,44,271 units in August 2025. Compared to July’s 2,06,170 units, dispatches rose by 24.1%. The sequential gain of 49,645 units surpassed Honda’s overall monthly increase of 40,893 units, showing declines in other areas of the portfolio offset part of Activa’s growth. The scooter made up 49.45% of Honda’s August volume.
Shine 125 recorded 1,60,731 units, growing 13.7% year on year but declining 9.1% from July.
CB UNICORN 150 reporting line reached 35,394 units, up 20.9% YoY and 1.1% MoM.
Dio reporting line fell 40.7% YoY to 15,208 units, while Dio 125 contributed another 12,462 units. Together, the two lines totalled 27,670 units, compared with 25,632 units in August 2025 and 25,903 units in July 2026.
CB 350 dispatches rose 123.5% YoY to 5,757 units.
H’ness increased 150.2% to 3,295 units. Both also grew over July, by 19.6% and 32.6%, respectively.
CB 125 Hornet recorded 4,089 units, down 30.9% YoY but up 6.0% MoM. SP 160 fell 15.6% YoY and 45.6% MoM to 2,028 units, while Hornet 2.0 declined to 156 units.
QC1 recorded 1,902 units, up 64.0% from July’s 1,160 units.
Activa E contributed 140 units, compared with 104 units in July and 20 units in August 2025.
Auto Punditz Take
Honda’s August improvement was heavily supported by Activa, whose monthly increase more than covered the decline in Shine 125. The latter still posted healthy annual growth, keeping the two largest nameplates central to Honda’s volume performance.
Gains in the CB 350 and H’ness reporting lines provided additional support, while electric volumes increased from a small base. With Activa and Shine 125 accounting for more than four-fifths of total dispatches, Honda’s overall trajectory remains closely tied to these two nameplates.
