Honda's market share was 25.83%, slightly above the previous year's 25.77%. The company's lead over Hero MotoCorp was about 29,000 units, indicating intense competition.
Hero MotoCorp ranked second with 4,40,662 retail registrations, a 26.8% increase from 3,47,398 units in July last year. Despite this growth, its market share decreased slightly from 24.50% to 24.23% as the overall two-wheeler industry expanded faster.
TVS Motor Company achieved strong performance with 3,74,113 registrations, a 33.5% YoY increase from 2,80,337 units in July 2025. TVS also expanded its market share from 19.77% to 20.58%, gaining 0.81 percentage points. Bajaj Auto sold 1,80,183 units, a 22.9% rise from 1,46,667 units in July 2025. However, its market share fell from 10.34% to 9.91% because the overall market grew over 28%, making Bajaj's 23% increase insufficient to maintain its previous share.
Suzuki Motorcycle India registered 1,02,668 units in July 2026, up from 93,984 units the previous year, marking a 9.2% YoY increase and surpassing the one-lakh registration milestone. In July 2026, Royal Enfield registered 95,080 units, a 31.7% increase from 72,207 units the previous year. The market share rose slightly from 5.09% to 5.23%, highlighting strength in the premium motorcycle segment as the company nears the one-lakh monthly retail mark.
India Yamaha Motor registered 67,781 units in July 2026, a 29.1% increase from 52,486 units in July 2025, slightly outperforming industry growth. Its market share rose from 3.70% to 3.73%.

Ola Electric was the notable exception to the wider industry growth trend. The company registered 14,106 units in July 2026, compared with 18,450 units in July 2025. Registrations therefore fell by 23.5% YoY. Its share of India's overall two-wheeler retail market fell sharply from 1.30% to 0.78%.
Greaves Electric Mobility registered 10,125 units, against 4,266 units a year ago.
That translates into exceptional growth of approximately 137%, with market share increasing from 0.30% to 0.56%.
