Three Wheeler sees a stellar YoY growth of 46.2% in July’18! Urbanization and rapid growth of Tier-2, Tier-3 & Tier-4 cities have primarily fueled the growth. 3-wheeler segment was a dying segment post the launch of minivans like Tata Ace Magic, Mahindra Maxximo Minivan, etc has made a stellar comeback as the 3-wheelers are easier to maintain, better to maneuver and initial costs are cheaper.
Two Wheelers & Commercial Vehicles experience a positive momentum due to good monsoons this year and is bound to maintain the growth trajectory in the remaining months of the FY as well.
Passenger Car sales dipped 2.7% due to high base last July (where July’17 had recovered post GST implementation). Otherwise, we expect the segment to grow stronger in the coming months owing to festive period and new launches.
