Kia Motors India sold over 2 Lakh units in the Indian Market in just 18 months! It was largely attributed by the success of its Mid SUV Seltos which contributed to over 74% of the volumes and was also well supported by younger Sub-4m SUV Sonet which contributed to 23% of the sales.
Kia Motors India took 12 months to cross 1 Lakh units sales milestone (Source). However; the next 1 Lakh units sales was attained in a record 6 months!
Kia became the fastest carmaker in India to achieve 2 Lakh units of wholesale domestic sales in the country. After registering a sales figure of 100,000 sales units in July 2020, the brand has registered sales of the second 1,00,000 units within a span of just 6 months.
In the said >2 Lakh units sold; Top End variants have contributed near to 60% of the total cars sold.
Leading the connected car revolution in India, Kia has sold over 1,06,000 UVO connected Kia vehicles on the road summing up to a humongous 53% of the brand’s total sales. One out of every two Kia cars sold now has connected car features!
Seltos became the best selling model in Kia’s portfolio and has single handedly contributed to >1.5 Lakh unit volumes.
Sonet has supported the volumes well and is in the verge of crossing 50k units volumes in just 6 months!
