Kia Sonet 7 seater teased ahead of its global debut!

Kia Indonesia has released a teaser image of the upcoming 7-seat version of the Sonet. The car is set to be unveiled globally on April 8, 2021.

The Sonet 7 seater will be based on the Indonesian version, which is longer than the car sold in India. It measures 4,120 mm in length as compared to the sub-4 meter Sonet offered in India. While the larger proportions would enable Kia to fit a third row of seats into the Sonet, it could significantly reduce the boot space.

The 7-seater Sonet will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The 7-seater Sonet will be launched in the Indonesian market later this year. The car will be produced at Kia's Anantapur facility situated in Andhra Pradesh. Do note that Kia has no plans of launching the Sonet 7 seater in the Indian market as of now.
