Mahindra Maintains Strong SUV Momentum
Mahindra's July 2026 numbers highlight the underlying strength of its SUV franchise. Four of its established high-volume nameplates — Scorpio, XUV 3X0, Bolero and XUV 7X0 — recorded double-digit year-on-year growth, while the Thar also expanded its volumes.
Scorpio alone accounted for roughly 27% of Mahindra's July dispatches, reinforcing its position as the cornerstone of the company's passenger vehicle business. However, the contrasting performance of Mahindra's electric models will be worth monitoring over the coming months. While overall company volumes remain robust, improving momentum across the BE 6 and XEV 9e could become important as Mahindra seeks to build a larger presence in India's emerging premium EV market.
Overall, with 60,048 units dispatched and 20% year-on-year growth, Mahindra entered the second half of FY2026-27 with its core SUV portfolio continuing to deliver strong volumes despite a marginal sequential decline.
