Mahindra & Mahindra continues its aggressive pursuit of the SUV market, ending the 2025-26 fiscal year with a powerful performance. In March 2026, the automaker clocked 60,272 units, marking a significant 25% Year-on-Year (YoY)Â growth. While Month-on-Month (MoM) sales remained flat, the brand's shift toward its "New-Age" SUV portfolio is becoming increasingly evident.

Scorpio remains the brand's bestseller with 14,578 units. While it saw a marginal 1% MoM dip, it grew 5% YoY, maintaining its status as the primary volume driver.
Thar remains a cult favorite, recording 10,872 units. This is a strong 22% YoYÂ increase, though it cooled slightly (-2%) from February's highs.
Bolero the rugged workhorse matched the Thar’s growth rate at 22% YoY, bringing in 9,788 units and proving its continued relevance especially in rural markets.
Effectively replacing the XUV 700 , the 7XO has hit the ground running with 9,210 units.
Mahindra’s push into the electric and "Born Electric" space is showing results. The BE 6 recorded 1,495 units, a massive 60% YoY increase and a 35% MoM surge.
XUV 3XO is continuing its strong run, the 3XO saw 9,199 units sold, a robust 30% YoY climb.

Mahindra's 25% YoY growth is a headline number that reflects both genuine demand expansion and a favorable base (the XUV 700 was already fading last year, while new nameplates weren't in the mix). The core petrol/diesel SUV portfolio — Scorpio, Thar, Bolero, XUV 3X0 — is performing with real consistency. The EV segment needs attention: the BE 6 is a bright spot, but the XEV 9e and XUV 400 are losing share.
With strong fundamentals and a powerful SUV lineup, Mahindra is well-positioned to sustain its growth momentum in FY2027, provided it manages capacity and EV strategy effectively.
