Maruti Suzuki Sales Analysis for June 2021 - Wagon R, Swift, Baleno, Alto, Brezza
Maruti Suzuki recorded domestic wholesales of 1,24,280 units in June 2021 and registered an increase of 278 percent compared to May 2021. The dispatches increased 142 percent in June 2021 vs June 2020.
The figures are encouraging as even in June 2020 India had recovered from Covid induced lockdown and 2021 posed a similar scenario. Maruti Suzuki in particular ensured that the supply was streamlined and the May 2021 shortfall could be recovered to an extent.
Wagon R became the best-selling car for June 2021. It was both Maruti and India’s No.1 selling car for the month and regained the Top slot from Swift.
Maruti Suzuki Swift slipped to the second spot in June 2021 and anyhow outsold the likes of Alto, Baleno, and Brezza.
Baleno volumes increased 206 percent Month-on-Month in June 2021 and took the third spot in the table.
Brezza had an encouraging stint in June 2021 and became the best-selling SUV for the month. It also was the fourth largest selling Maruti model for June 2021.
Dzire has been holding the fort strongly and sold 12,639 units last month. Dzire finished at the top of the sales charts for Sub-4m sedans in the month of June 2021 with cumulative dispatches of 12,639 units as against 5,834 units during June 2020 with a Year-on-Year sales growth of 117 percent.
The erstwhile bestseller Alto dropped to the sixth position in the list with dispatches of 12,513 units and grew 71 percent when compared to June'20.
Ertiga recorded an MoM increase of 268 percent and dispatches increased 200 percent compared to June 2020.
XL6 was Nexa's second best-selling model in June'21! Ciaz was the lowest faring Nexa and Maruti model with dispatches of just 602 units in June 2021.
Celerio sold a meager 752 units in June 2021. Do note that Maruti is also planning to launch the next-generation version of the Celerio hatchback in September this year.
