Kawasaki India has introduced the Model Year 2027 Ninja 500 at ₹5.76 lakh, ex-showroom. The latest iteration arrives barely a few months after the MY2026 motorcycle and retains the same price, mechanical package and equipment.
The MY2027 Ninja 500 is offered in Kawasaki’s signature Lime Green colour with model-year graphics. Bookings are open through authorised Kawasaki dealerships.

Familiar 451cc Parallel-Twin Engine
Powering the MY2027 Ninja 500 is the familiar 451cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC parallel-twin petrol engine. It produces 45 PS at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 42.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. Kawasaki has tuned this motor to offer accessible low- and mid-range performance while retaining sufficient performance higher in the rev range.

Chassis and Braking Hardware
The Ninja 500 continues to employ a high-tensile-steel trellis frame with the engine functioning as a stressed member.
Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock. Braking hardware comprises a 310mm front disc and a rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS.
It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with a 110/70 front tyre and a 150/60 rear tyre. The 785mm seat height and relatively relaxed riding triangle should make it more approachable than a committed supersport motorcycle.

In practical terms, very little has changed.
The engine, chassis, dimensions, braking hardware, instrumentation and feature list remain the same as those of the MY2026 motorcycle. The MY2027 designation principally refreshes the model year, with the Lime Green colour and graphics providing its visual identity.
The price has also been retained at ₹5.76 lakh. By comparison, the MY2026 Ninja 500 introduced in June 2026 had received E20 fuel compatibility and a ₹10,000 price increase over its predecessor.

Auto Punditz Take
The MY2027 Kawasaki Ninja 500 is a model-year rollover rather than a meaningful product update. Retaining the ₹5.76 lakh price is preferable to another increase, but the absence of new features makes the launch largely administrative.
The Ninja 500 remains a friendly, refined and attractive twin-cylinder sports bike. Yet, against the locally manufactured Aprilia RS 457, Kawasaki’s CBU/CKD-led pricing leaves it facing a difficult value equation. A lower price or the introduction of the better-equipped SE variant would have made the MY2027 update considerably more compelling.
