Okinawa's Oki100 electric motorcycle expected to be launched in Apr 2021
The EV major Okinawa is gearing up to launch the new Oki100 electric motorcycle. The model is expected to be priced around Rs.1.1L and expected to go on sale in April 2021. The company has dropped a teaser of the upcoming electric bike.
The Oki100 concept bike was previewed at the Auto Expo 2018 for the launch in 2020 but was affected due to the pandemic.
The teaser image shows a silhouette of a Ducati Monter naked roadster inspired EV.
The bike is going to have a Monster-like appearance with an oval-shaped headlamp, rounded and sculpted fuel tank, and exposed red-colored frame; and roll on a mini 12 and 10-inch wheel combination. The bike would come with upside-down front forks and a mono-shock rear unit. The bike will be fitted with a detachable lithium-ion battery: capacity unknown, at present.
The full charge range of around 150 km and a top speed of 100 kmph is expected in ideal conditions. On-Road performance needs to be gauged.
It will have direct competition with the likes of the Revolt RV400.
