Simple Arrive EV Spied Testing Ahead Of Launch – Family Electric Scooter Takes Shape

Simple Energy is preparing to expand its electric scooter portfolio with a new family-focused model, reportedly scheduled to make its India debut on September 2, 2026. Likely to be called the Simple Arrive, the upcoming electric scooter will mark a noticeable shift from the sporty positioning of the existing Simple One range.

The Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer currently offers performance-oriented products such as the Simple One Gen 2 and the long-range Simple Ultra. The Arrive, however, is expected to prioritise comfort, practicality and everyday usability, allowing Simple Energy to address a much larger segment of the Indian electric two-wheeler market.

Simple Arrive Designed For Family Buyers

Previously sighted test prototypes indicate that the upcoming scooter will adopt a more conventional family-scooter design. Its upright riding posture, broad floorboard, long seat and relatively simple bodywork are expected to make it more suitable for daily commuting and household use.

The styling appears considerably more restrained than the sharply designed Simple One. Expected design highlights include an LED headlamp mounted on the front apron, a compact flyscreen, a flat footboard, a spacious single-piece seat and a substantial rear grab rail.

The scooter is also expected to feature a front disc brake, telescopic front suspension and alloy wheels. Production-ready versions may offer practical additions such as under-seat storage, connected technology, navigation and smartphone integration.

Battery, Range And Performance

Simple Energy has not officially revealed the battery capacity, motor output or certified range of the upcoming scooter.

However, considering the company’s strong focus on long-range electric vehicles, the

Arrive could offer a claimed range of around 180 km to 200 km under ideal test conditions. The final figure could vary depending on the battery configuration and whether Simple Energy introduces more than one variant.

The family scooter is unlikely to match the performance of the flagship Simple One or Simple Ultra. Instead, its power delivery may be calibrated for smoother acceleration, better efficiency and predictable performance in congested urban conditions.

Simple Energy’s existing One Gen 2 range is priced between approximately Rs 1.40 lakh and Rs 1.78 lakh, while the flagship Simple Ultra carries a claimed range of 400 km and is positioned considerably higher at Rs 2.35 lakh.

Expected Features

The Simple Arrive could receive a digital instrument console with connected features similar to those offered on the company’s existing scooters. Likely equipment includes:

  • Turn-by-turn navigation

  • Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity

  • Multiple riding modes

  • Call and notification alerts

  • Vehicle tracking and geofencing

  • Regenerative braking

  • Reverse mode

  • Over-the-air software updates

The final features and specifications will only be confirmed at the official unveiling.

Expected Price And Rivals

The Simple Arrive is expected to be positioned below the Simple One Gen 2, making it the company’s most accessible electric scooter.

An estimated introductory price of around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh, ex-showroom, would place it against established family electric scooters such as the:

  • Ather Rizta

  • TVS iQube

  • Bajaj Chetak

  • Hero Vida VX2

  • Ola S1 series

Some existing listings have estimated a price of approximately Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 1.40 lakh, although Simple Energy has not announced the official pricing.

Important Model For Simple Energy

The Simple Arrive could become a strategically important product for the electric two-wheeler manufacturer. Simple Energy has so far concentrated largely on premium, performance-oriented scooters, while much of India’s electric scooter demand comes from practical family models.

Entering this segment could help the company reach a broader set of buyers and increase its volumes. Simple Energy has also been expanding its manufacturing and retail operations, having raised Rs 250 crore through a combination of debt and equity funding in 2026.

The company had earlier outlined aggressive plans to expand its retail footprint and strengthen its presence in India’s increasingly competitive electric two-wheeler market.

With its reported September 2 debut, the Simple Arrive will attempt to combine the company’s battery and powertrain expertise with the practicality expected from a mainstream family scooter. Official details covering the name, price, certified range, battery capacity and delivery schedule are expected to be announced during the unveiling.
