Škoda Auto India announced - ‘ŠKODA COMPACT Workshops’, which aims to open 30 new compact workshops across the country by the end of this year.
The concept of compact workshops is aimed at expanding the service touchpoints, in line with Škoda Auto India’s focussed customer-centric strategy. Going forward, all sales branches in non-metro locations will have a compact workshop, which will have a minimum service facility of two bays.
Mr. Zac Hollis, Brand Director – ŠKODA AUTO India, said, “2021 is marked as the year of growth for the ŠKODA brand in India. With the launch of KUSHAQ, there is a substantial growth in our volumes and despite the challenging environment, we have managed to have a really successful launch. Along with growing our volumes, enhancing the customer experience and our journey of customer-centricity is pivotal to our success in India. We have already introduced several initiatives on this front, and I am happy to announce the start of ‘ŠKODA Compact Workshops’. Our objective is to cater to the growing customer base and ensure that customers have a seamless experience with the ŠKODA brand.”
To ensure a satisfying customer experience and standardise quality, all ‘ŠKODA Compact Workshops’ will be connected to main dealership facilities. Škoda India will also start operations in some new markets with this service-first concept of ‘ŠKODA Compact Workshops’. These will cater to existing customers and instill confidence in potential customers in new and emerging markets.
The ŠKODA Compact workshops will be capable of catering to periodic maintenance services and general repairs. Some of the servicing capabilities include inspection services, replacement of coolant, brake oil, ATF, and brake disc or pad replacement. Customers can also avail of other minor repairs viz replacement of bulbs, wiper blades, car detailing and accessories fitment amongst others which don’t require specialized tools. The major jobs as per customer request will be carried out at the main workshop, thus providing customer convenience & reach.
Škoda Auto India has grown its network presence by almost 25% with the launch of KUSHAQ. This has been enabled by a focused effort on expanding the network, which formed an important part of the KUSHAQ launch strategy. The brand is now present in more than 100 cities across India, with more than 170 customer touchpoints including sales and after-sales facilities.
