Tata Motors has officially launched the much-awaited Tata Sierra EV in India, marking the return of one of the country’s most iconic SUV nameplates in a thoroughly modern electric avatar. The Sierra EV is positioned between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata’s electric SUV lineup and aims to take on rivals such as the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser eBella and VinFast VF7.


Bookings for the Sierra EV have commenced, while deliveries are expected to begin in mid-July 2026.

The Sierra EV is built on Tata Motors’ advanced Acti.ev+ architecture, sharing several technologies with the Harrier EV.

The SUV also supports 120 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 20-80% charge in around 26 minutes under suitable charging conditions.
