Top 25 Best-Selling Cars in India – February 2026

Tata Nexon emerged as the best-selling car in India, narrowly beating Dzire. Tata Nexon retained its leadership position in February 2026 with 19,430 units sold, registering a healthy 27% year-on-year growth compared to 15,349 units in February 2025. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire secured the second spot with 19,326 units, marking a 32% YoY growth. The Dzire continues to dominate the sedan category thanks to its strong brand value, fuel efficiency, and popularity in the fleet and personal segments alike.

Tata Punch continues to be a major success for Tata Motors and ranked third in the list of best-selling cars of February 2026. With 18,748 units sold, the micro-SUV recorded a 29% growth year-on-year. With Punch, Tata Motors had 2 models in the Top 3!

The Hyundai Creta, a long-time segment leader, sold 17,938 units, growing 10% YoY, securing the fourth position. Close behind was the Maruti Suzuki Brezza with 17,863 units, showing a 16% increase over last year. Both SUVs continue to perform strongly due to brand trust, feature-rich offerings, and strong dealership networks.

A notable highlight in the February 2026 sales chart is the Tata Sierra, which recorded 7,100 units, placing it 24th in the list of top-selling cars in India. The Sierra’s performance is particularly noteworthy because it represents the revival of one of Tata Motors’ most iconic nameplates and can be said volumes have been impacted in the initial months due to dispatch limitations.
