Tata Nexon retained its position as India's best-selling car for November 2025. It is the third consecutive month that Nexon has recorded dispatches of over 22k units. The model sold almost 46% higher than the same period last year and was considerably ahead of the second-ranked Maruti Dzire.
Out of the top 25, 14 models are SUVs, 4 are hatchbacks, 3 are MUVs, 2 are sedans and 2 are vans, underlining the continuing SUV preference in India. Only three models in the list show a year‑on‑year volume decline, while several compact and midsize SUVs post 20–50% growth, indicating broad-based demand recovery.

Tata Nexon tops the list with 22,434 units in Nov’25, growing about 46% over Nov’24, confirming its position as the country’s most popular SUV.
Maruti Suzuki occupies the next two slots: Dzire sells 21,082 units with a very strong 79% growth, while Swift records 19,733 units and 34% growth, reinforcing the enduring appeal of compact Maruti nameplates.
Tata Punch (18,753 units; 21% growth) and Hyundai Creta (17,344 units; 12% growth) round off the top 5, showing that both entry‑SUV and mid-SUV segments remain very strong.
Beyond Dzire and Swift, Maruti has eight more models in the top 25, including Ertiga (16,197 units; 7% growth), Wagon R (14,619 units; 5% growth) and Eeco (13,200 units; 25% growth), highlighting the OEM’s breadth across body styles.
However, Brezza (13,947 units; down 7%) and Baleno (13,784 units; down 15%) are the few nameplates facing pressure, suggesting competitive intensity in the compact SUV and premium hatchback segments.
Mahindra has five models in the list, all SUVs, reflecting its sharp focus on this body style. Scorpio (15,616 units; 23% growth), XUV 3XO (10,601 units; 38% growth), Bolero (10,521 units; 49% growth) and Thar (10,234 units; 18% growth) all post robust gains, while the flagship XUV700, despite a 32% decline to 6,176 units, remains within the top 25, suggesting the upcoming launch of XUV 7XO in Mahindra’s line‑up.
