  • Maruti Suzuki Dzire once again proved that sedans still have a strong demand in India. With nearly 24,000 units sold, the Dzire outperformed every SUV in the market. • Tata Punch recorded 19,107 units in April 2026, growing 53% YoY and ranked second in the list.

  • Maruti Suzuki placed 11 models in the top 25 list, showcasing unmatched dominance across segments. From entry-level hatchbacks like Alto and Wagon R to SUVs like Fronx and Grand Vitara, the brand continues to lead nearly every mainstream category. The company also recorded its highest-ever monthly domestic sales during April 2026.

  • Despite remaining India’s top-selling midsize SUV, the Hyundai Creta saw a 10% decline in sales. Increasing competition from newer SUVs appears to be impacting Creta’s momentum. Hyundai has also started offering discounts of ~Rs.1 Lakh to sustain volumes.

  • Kia India delivered an impressive performance with both Seltos and Sonet crossing the 10,000-unit mark. The Seltos recorded a massive 72% YoY growth, while Sonet grew 31%, reflecting improved traction in the compact and midsize SUV segments.
