Toyota’s official online booking portal has already been updated with the new starting price of ₹48.69 lakh.

No Changes to the Hybrid Powertrain

The latest price increase does not bring any changes to the Camry’s powertrain. It continues with a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder Dynamic Force petrol engine paired with Toyota’s fifth-generation strong-hybrid system.

The petrol engine produces 187 PS and 221 Nm, while the electric motor develops 136 PS and 208 Nm. Combined system output stands at 230 PS. Power is delivered through an e-CVT automatic transmission.

The Camry also offers Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes, along with an EV mode for short periods of electric-only driving under suitable operating conditions.

Toyota claims a fuel efficiency figure of 25.49 kmpl for the hybrid sedan.

Features Remain Unchanged

The Toyota Camry continues to offer:

  • 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system

  • 12.3-inch digital instrument display

  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

  • Nine-speaker JBL audio system

  • Wireless smartphone charger

  • Powered and ventilated front seats

  • Driver-seat memory function

  • Powered rear seats with recline adjustment

  • Three-zone automatic climate control

  • Head-up display

  • Electric sunroof

  • Powered rear and side-window sunshades

Its safety package includes nine airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control and the Toyota Safety Sense ADAS suite.

Camry Sprint Edition

The Camry Sprint Edition adds a sportier appearance through cosmetic changes such as a matte-black bonnet, roof and boot wrap, black alloy wheels and a dedicated exterior styling kit.

Its features and 2.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain remain the same as the regular Camry Elegant.

Auto Punditz Take

The Toyota Camry has become costlier without receiving any corresponding equipment or mechanical upgrades. However, it remains one of the few strong-hybrid executive sedans available in India.

The ₹1.21–1.27 lakh increase pushes the Camry’s ex-showroom price closer to ₹49 lakh, while its on-road price could now cross ₹58 lakh in some cities, depending on registration charges and insurance.

The Camry’s main strengths continue to be its spacious rear seat, comprehensive equipment list, high claimed fuel efficiency and proven strong-hybrid powertrain. The revised price, though, further narrows the gap between the Camry and entry-level models from German luxury brands.
