Toyota India Sales Rise 5% to 32,516 Units in July 2026; Seven-Month Volumes Cross 2.33 Lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported total sales of 32,516 units in July 2026, maintaining its positive momentum in the Indian automobile market. The company’s domestic sales stood at 30,516 units, while exports accounted for the remaining 2,000 units during the month.


Toyota’s domestic volumes increased by 5% year-on-year compared with 29,159 units sold in July 2025. The steady growth reflects sustained demand for the company’s diverse portfolio of MPVs, SUVs, crossovers and hybrid vehicles.

While Toyota did not provide a model-wise sales breakup, its performance continues to be supported by popular offerings such as the Innova Hycross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Glanza, Taisor and Rumion.


January–July Sales Grow 13%

Toyota’s cumulative sales during the first seven months of calendar year 2026 reached 2,33,854 units. This represented a growth of 13% over the 2,07,497 units recorded between January and July 2025.

The company added 26,357 units to its cumulative volumes during the period, highlighting the continued expansion of Toyota’s presence in India.


FY2026-27 Sales Rise 8%

During the first four months of FY2026-27, from April to July 2026, Toyota registered sales of 1,28,746 units. This was 8% higher than the 1,19,669 units sold during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

New Toyota Hilux Strengthens SUV Portfolio

Toyota highlighted the launch of the all-new Hilux as one of its key developments during July 2026. The updated lifestyle pickup further strengthens the automaker’s SUV and utility-vehicle portfolio in India.


Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said that the company’s July performance reflected sustained customer confidence in the Toyota brand. He added that Toyota remains focused on offering reliable, innovative and customer-centric mobility solutions. The company expects the new Hilux to help address evolving customer preferences for aspirational and future-ready vehicles.

Toyota Maintains Strong Growth Momentum

Toyota has established a broad presence across multiple vehicle segments in India. Its portfolio ranges from mass-market models such as the Glanza and Urban Cruiser Taisor to premium products including the Fortuner, Legender, Camry Hybrid, Vellfire and Land Cruiser 300.


The Innova Hycross and Urban Cruiser Hyryder have also strengthened Toyota’s position in the hybrid-vehicle market, while the Innova Crysta and Fortuner continue to command strong recognition in their respective segments.


With cumulative calendar-year sales increasing by 13%, Toyota remains on course for another strong annual performance in India. Its expanding SUV portfolio, established hybrid technology and wide range of utility vehicles are expected to support demand over the coming months.
