Auto Punditz Take

The R15 and Fascino together contributed 25,605 units, or 31.7% of Yamaha’s September sales. Their combined volumes increased by 10,321 units YoY, helping offset declines elsewhere in the portfolio.

The Ray remained the volume leader, but its annual decline of 5,192 units was the largest absolute drop among Yamaha’s models. The FZ and Aerox also recorded weaker performance across both annual and monthly comparisons.

Sequential growth was led by the R15 and MT 15. Together, the two models added 10,296 units over August, accounting for approximately 86% of Yamaha’s net monthly increase of 11,986 units.

Yamaha’s September performance therefore reflected strong gains from selected models. Sustaining the momentum in the R15 and Fascino, alongside a recovery in the Ray and FZ, will be key to achieving more balanced growth across the portfolio.
