JSW Group is scaling up its electric commercial vehicle ambitions through AMPSTAR with a ₹2,500 crore manufacturing facility capable of producing 15,000 electric buses and heavy trucks annually. At full utilisation, the plant could support nearly ₹12,000 crore in annual vehicle revenue.

Electric commercial vehicle registrations in India increased 155% to 23,540 units during January–August 2026. Tata Motors retained the lead, while Euler Motors climbed to second position with 4,637 registrations and a 20% market share.

Tata Motors and Drivn have partnered to accelerate electric commercial vehicle adoption in India through customised leasing solutions, with Drivn targeting deployment of more than 1,000 Tata electric trucks over the next two years.
