Ultraviolette will establish its BIGGA Factory in Hosur to manufacture the Tesseract electric scooter and future products. The facility will have a planned annual capacity of 2.5 lakh vehicles, scalable to five lakh units.

VinFast has reportedly suspended deeper localisation work for the VF 3, VF 6 and VF 7 while reassessing costs. The company’s Tamil Nadu plant remains operational, and assembly and sales of the VF 6 and VF 7 will continue.

Zelio E-Mobility has started operations at its new Coimbatore manufacturing plant, adding 60,000 units of annual capacity and increasing total installed capacity to 2.4 lakh units per year.
