Passenger Vehicle Exports Statistics – August 2020

Around 38,116 passenger vehicles were exported from India in August 2020 against 69,516 vehicles exported in August 2019. The YoY drop in exports was -45%.

List of the Top 10 Exported Cars from India in August 2020

1. The Top 10 exported models contributed to over 72% of the overall passenger vehicle exports.

2. Ford’s Ecosport held to its dominance in terms of exports and was India’s highest exported model for Aug’20.

3. Fellow American OEM GM was able to export 3,859 units of Beat and ranked second in the chart.

4. Kia’s Seltos was the highest exported Mid-SUV in Aug’20 and fared third in terms of overall passenger vehicle exports.

5. Verna was Hyundai’s highest exported model and 2,806 units were exported in Aug’20!

6. Maruti has been exporting good volumes of S-Presso. With 2,399 units exported; it was Maruti’s highest exported model and overtook the likes of Baleno & Swift.

7. Nissan’s Sunny exports are falling down and only 2,083 units were exported. It fell -65% YoY!
