Hero MotoCorp appears ready to give the Xtreme 125R another major technology upgrade, with images of an updated motorcycle revealing a new TFT instrument console and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The new equipment could make the Xtreme 125R one of the most feature-rich motorcycles in India's increasingly competitive 125cc segment.

While some reports have described the motorcycle as launched, the available information indicates that an official market introduction, variant details and pricing are still awaited. The latest images suggest the updated Xtreme 125R is nearing launch.

New TFT Display Takes Centre Stage

The biggest visual change on the upcoming Hero Xtreme 125R is expected to be its TFT instrument cluster.

The existing Xtreme 125R is offered with a 4.2-inch colour LCD instrument console, while the newly surfaced motorcycle features what appears to be a more sophisticated TFT unit.

The upgrade is significant because digital instrumentation has become an increasingly important differentiator in the sporty 125cc motorcycle category.

Despite the growing equipment list, one notable premium hardware feature that continues to be absent is an upside-down front fork.

The updated Xtreme 125R is expected to retain its conventional telescopic front suspension.

Hero has not announced official prices for the TFT- and TPMS-equipped Xtreme 125R.

A modest premium would therefore be expected if Hero packages the TFT display and TPMS into a new flagship variant.

India's premium 125cc motorcycle market has transformed dramatically.
