Bajaj Plans 5 New Launches After Pulsar 125 & 150 – Two All-New Brands Coming

Bajaj Auto is preparing to intensify its product offensive in the Indian two-wheeler market. Just after introducing the new-generation Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150, the Pune-based manufacturer has confirmed that five more launches are in the pipeline, including two completely new motorcycle brands.

Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rakesh Sharma has confirmed that the company intends to launch three new products over the next roughly 45 days, followed by the introduction of two new brands in the coming months.

The strategy indicates that the recently launched Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 are only one part of a much broader portfolio overhaul planned by Bajaj ahead of the festive season.

Three More Bajaj Products Coming Soon

Speaking on the sidelines of the Pulsar 125 and 150 launch, Sharma said Bajaj will introduce three new products within the next 45 days.

This could put the upcoming introductions on the road by around early-to-mid October 2026, coinciding with one of the most important sales periods for India's two-wheeler industry.

Bajaj has not yet revealed the names or specifications of these three products.

The company had earlier announced plans to introduce around 10 new or substantially updated motorcycle models over a six-week period, comprising new motorcycles, variants, styling revisions, technology upgrades and feature additions.

The recently introduced Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS were among the opening products under this programme, followed by the heavily revised Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150.

This means Bajaj's launch activity is far from over.

Two Completely New Bajaj Brands Planned

The more significant announcement, however, is Bajaj's plan to introduce two entirely new motorcycle brands.

Unlike extensions of the Pulsar family, these motorcycles are expected to establish their own identities within Bajaj's portfolio.

Bajaj had previously indicated that the new brands would form part of its strategy to strengthen its position in the increasingly important 125cc and above motorcycle market.

The company is particularly looking at customers currently riding smaller 100cc commuter motorcycles and attempting to persuade them to upgrade to more powerful and better-equipped 125cc products.

This is an important strategic shift because Bajaj already operates one of India's strongest motorcycle nameplates with Pulsar.

Instead of simply stretching the Pulsar brand further, creating new nameplates could allow Bajaj to target customers looking for different combinations of styling, practicality, mileage, equipment and performance.

Why Bajaj Is Betting Big On 125cc+

Bajaj Auto has been steadily increasing its focus on motorcycles above 100cc.

According to the company's FY2025-26 disclosures, motorcycles of 125cc and above accounted for around 77.5% of Bajaj's domestic motorcycle sales, highlighting how important these categories have become to its business.

The 125cc category itself has also gradually expanded within the broader Indian motorcycle market.

Bajaj management estimates that the segment's share has increased from around 25% of the motorcycle market three years ago to approximately 28% currently.

Consumers moving beyond basic 100cc motorcycles are increasingly looking for additional power, stronger road presence, digital features and better equipment without moving into considerably more expensive motorcycles.

Manufacturers including Honda, Hero MotoCorp, TVS and Bajaj have consequently increased their attention on this segment.

Pulsar 125 & Pulsar 150 Begin New Product Cycle

Bajaj launched the heavily updated Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 on August 24, marking one of the biggest changes to the original Pulsar family in recent years.

The motorcycles receive revisions covering their engines, chassis, suspension and equipment.

The new Pulsar 125 has been launched at approximately ₹92,990, while the Pulsar 150 starts from around ₹1.15 lakh, ex-showroom.

Bajaj has acknowledged that some older Pulsar products had begun showing signs of portfolio fatigue after going without major generational updates for a considerable period.

The company is now attempting to reverse that trend through a concentrated series of launches and upgrades.

Festive Season Demand Remains Strong

Bajaj's aggressive launch calendar also comes at a time when India's two-wheeler market is displaying healthy momentum.

According to Bajaj management, the overall two-wheeler industry is currently growing at around 12%, while the motorcycle category is expanding by roughly 10%. Electric two-wheelers are growing considerably faster.

Bajaj Auto itself reported total sales of 4,74,677 units in July 2026, up around 30% year-on-year, while domestic two-wheeler sales increased approximately 19% to 1,65,747 units.

The company therefore appears keen to use fresh products to capture additional demand during the festive buying period.

What Could The New Bajaj Motorcycles Be?

For now, Bajaj has not disclosed the names, technical details or positioning of the upcoming products.

However, the company's recent statements provide some clues about its strategy.

The focus is clearly shifting towards:

  • motorcycles of 125cc and above,

  • differentiated products rather than minor badge extensions,

  • more technology and electronic features,

  • stronger styling differentiation, and

  • attracting existing 100cc owners into higher segments.

It would therefore be premature to link either of the upcoming brands with an existing Bajaj nameplate or claim that they will replace models such as the Platina or CT.

More concrete details should emerge as the launch dates approach.

Auto Punditz Take

Bajaj's announcement of five additional launches is significant, but the two new motorcycle brands could be the bigger story.

For almost two-and-a-half decades, Pulsar has been the cornerstone of Bajaj's strategy in the sporty commuter and performance motorcycle segments. However, extending Pulsar into every possible displacement and buyer profile also carries the risk of diluting what the nameplate represents.

Creating separate brands gives Bajaj more freedom.

One could potentially target buyers upgrading from conventional 100cc commuter motorcycles, while another could address customers seeking a more premium or lifestyle-oriented 125cc proposition without necessarily wanting a Pulsar.

Bajaj's own numbers explain the urgency. The 125cc+ category now represents the overwhelming majority of the company's motorcycle business, while competitive intensity in India's commuter market remains high.

With the Pulsar 125 and 150 now comprehensively refreshed, attention will increasingly turn towards what Bajaj's next three products are — and, more importantly, what names the company's two new motorcycle brands will carry.

If Bajaj gets their positioning right, the coming months could represent one of the most extensive reshaping exercises its domestic motorcycle portfolio has seen in years.
