Best-Selling MUVs in India – June 2026: Ertiga Leads Comfortably, Segment Stays Almost Flat

The MUV segment in India recorded 35,767 units in June 2026, registering a marginal 1.2% year-on-year declinecompared to 36,188 units in June 2025. While the overall segment remained largely stable, the model-wise performance showed a clear divide between mass-market family movers and premium MUVs.
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga continued its dominant run and retained the top spot by a wide margin. Toyota’s Innova range remained the second-largest contributor, while the Kia Carens + Clavis saw a sharp year-on-year decline.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was once again India’s best-selling MUV in June 2026 with 16,111 units. Sales grew by 13.9% YoY from 14,151 units in June 2025.
Toyota Innova Hycross + Crysta recorded 7,332 units in June 2026, compared to 8,802 units in June 2025. This translated into a 16.7% YoY decline.
Kia Carens + Clavis stood third with 4,847 units in June 2026. However, the model recorded a sharp 38.8% YoY decline from 7,921 units sold in June 2025.
Maruti Suzuki XL6 ranked fourth with 2,711 units, growing by a strong 34.8% YoY. The XL6 continues to attract buyers looking for a more premium alternative to the Ertiga.
Toyota Rumion emerged as one of the strongest gainers in the segment. It sold 2,376 units, up 67.9% YoY from 1,415 units in June 2025.
Renault Triber also delivered a positive performance with 1,871 units, registering 31.7% YoY growth.
At the lower end of the volume chart, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto sold 349 units, growing 32.2% YoY. Toyota’s luxury MUV, the Vellfire, recorded 140 units, down 10.3% YoY.
Kia Carnival remained a niche offering with just 30 units sold in June 2026, declining 36.2% YoY from 47 units in June 2025.
