Bookings for Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 Commence In India

Recently, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Aprilia has started the bookings for their upcoming motorbikes- The RS 660 and Tuono 660. These bikes will be available by the second quarter of 2021 and will be imported into India as completely built-up units (CBUs).

In an interview with Autocar India, Diego Graffi, CEO and MD, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, quoted, “at the moment, we are taking orders from dealers pan India to understand what is the interest for this kind of product. After that we’ll start importing, I think, in the second quarter of 2021 from Europe”. He also added “...the product is quite expensive, more expensive than normal.” In context to why the company is taking this method of bookings.

The Aprilia RS 660 and the Tuono 660 hosts a 659cc, parallel-twin engine derived from the Aprilia RSV4's V4 unit which produces 100hp on the RS 660 and 95hp on the Tuono with a 270-degree firing order.


The bikes will have features to help the rider like cruise control and traction control, five different riding modes namely- Commute, Dynamic, Individual, Challenge and Time-Attack. Other features include- A quick-shifter, adjustable wheelie control, cornering ABS with three modes, engine braking control, 6-axis IMU and APRC- Aprilia Performance Ride Control.
