Ford Ecosport was the best-selling Ford for Mar'21 and recorded a 150% YoY increase and a 73% MoM increase. The export spec-based EcoSport SE with the absence of a tailgate-mounted spare wheel and a few new feature additions entered the domestic market just a few weeks ago. This may have added to the overall dispatches.
Endeavour was Ford's second-best model for March 2021 and recorded its best monthly sales figure in the past 43 months! It crossed the 1k sales figure with a YoY increase of 169% and an MoM increase of 28%. Looks like Endy is definitely putting a tough fight against Fortuner & Gloster.
All other models in Ford's portfolio suffered and couldn't contribute much to the OEM's volumes. Freestlye couldn't cross the 1k mark and settled at 689 units in Mar'21 with -46% MoM decline.
The Figo & Aspire twins collectively sold 546 units. Ford now needs newer models in its portfolio to bring more volumes. However; the deal between Ford & Mahindra is called off (source). Ford and Mahindra had proposed a joint venture to develop at least three sport-utility vehicles (SUVs) for India and emerging markets, as well as share suppliers, power trains and technology.
